Reemployment Assistance Benefits
Florida rolls out New Connect system
On October 15, the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) launched CONNECT, a new way to claim your weekly Reemployment Assistance benefits, update and monitor your accounts and respond to requests for more information. CONNECT is designed to provide better service and convenience.
Reemployment Assistance, formerly referred to as Unemployment Compensation, provides temporary wage benefits to qualified individuals who are out of work through no fault of their own. Florida's Reemployment Assistance System is administered by DEO. Workforce Connection staff cannot determine or offer opinions on eligibility for benefits. Workforce Connection does provide resources so you may manage your Reemployment Assistance claims as well as offer a variety of job seeker services to assist with your reemployment needs.
